In order to save a significant amount of money, we opted to trench the line and run cable for our phone ourselves.
Laying the Phone Cable
After the trenching was complete, we picked up a spool of phone cable from the the phone company. Patrick laid the cable along the bottom of the ditch and covered it over, leaving enough exposed at each end for the hookup.
